Before the heat death of the universe, a civilization crushed itself and dispersed. They left behind a nine-level staircase - the Ember Stairs. Each level is a world. From ashes to ruins, from life to death and back to life. Everyone who steps on the Ash Steps has died once. At the last moment of their death, they pointed at others, and their consciousness was intercepted by a device called Ruins Realm, thrown into the first floor, and then told: go up. Go to the ninth floor and you will see a problem. Someone walks fast and there is nothing behind them. Some people are walking slowly, and there are people behind them. The two roads run parallel on the same staircase. They meet at the end and separate at the end. The Ember Order does not judge who is right or wrong. It only records two ways to move, and then leaves both paths intact - as well as who else is around you when you walk there.
