Ancient Shu Kingdom: the Age of Five Emperors

In the style of classical literature, this book tells the origin of the civilization of the ancestors of Shu during the Five Emperors era. After Emperor Xuanyuan pacified Chiyou, he toured the south of Shu. He married the daughter Leizu of the Xiling family on the banks of the Fulishui River and passed down Shen Nong's farming techniques to the Shu people. Huangdi's son Changyi was named Ruoshuihou. Zhuanxu, the son of Changyi, was born in Shushan and raised in Ruoshui. He later inherited the throne and became one of the Five Emperors. Zhuanxu created the calendar and Juedi Tiantong, and managed the Central Plains with the wisdom of Shu. After that, Emperor Ku and Emperor Yao both interacted with and supported Shuhou. Dayu, who was born in Minshan Mountain, guided the river in Wenshan Mountain and invented the methods of "breaking rocks with water and fire" and "breathing soil and solidifying embankments", which finally quelled the floods in Kyushu and accepted Shun's abdication as emperor. The whole book shows the unique status of Shu as another root of Chinese civilization, and composes a heroic epic that spans thousands of years.
