Heaven and earth determine the rules, and spiritual roots divide immortals into mortals. During the Yong'an period of the Great Chu Dynasty, Su Yan, an orphan from Qingshi Town, was born without spiritual roots and relied on collecting herbs to make a living. The whole town concluded that he would be trapped in the world all his life.
One time when he was taking shelter from the rain in the mountains, he found a fragment of the book "Inducing Qi to the Ruins" in an abandoned ancient temple. This ancient method did not rely on spiritual elixirs, but only absorbed the scattered fresh air between heaven and earth, and relied on meditation to polish the foundation of the path. A mortal body cannot retain spiritual energy, but fortunately his father left behind a cloud-patterned wooden sign that calmed his mind and concealed his special physique, turning it into the worst fake spiritual root, so that he could obtain a spot as a handyman in the Qingyun Sect.
Among the sects, natural talent is supreme, and all his fellow sects have spiritual roots and blessings, and they can advance quickly with the help of elixirs and spiritual springs; only Su Yan sticks to the ancient methods and practices slowly, and has been ridiculed and despised by the genius Zhao Heng and others for many years. Others are eager to make progress quickly, and their foundation is empty and easy to create inner demons. He would rather be slow than empty, and he polished his Qi realm for a whole year before he could steadily step into Condensation.
Xiaobi outside the mountain, a head-on confrontation between fast and slow. Zhao Heng's attack was fierce but lacked stamina. Su Yan's physical body was tough and his aura was long. He defeated his opponent with static power and won the first place. He was promoted to the inner sect by Elder Mo Chen.
Yunyuan, the main peak, has a strict hierarchy, and even though he has a third-class status, he still receives cold looks. In this world, monks are all chasing quick success, and there are many hidden dangers on the road. Su Yan only adheres to the lost ancient cloud Taoist tradition. He is not greedy for opportunities and is not addicted to killing. He refines his body with time and tempers his heart with loneliness.
I don't envy my rise once in a while, but I strive to make every step without loss. A road of ascetic cultivation that goes against one's talent and the secular world is slowly unfolding.
Reader comments
Hello fellow Taoists, I am a new author of this book.
The writing of "Jiuyun Cultivation Record" originated from my obsession to repeatedly read the classic cultivation novels of my early years when I was young. Those stories of riding swords, mountains and rivers, and enlightening to immortality have accompanied me through countless leisure hours. After much thought, I simply picked up the pen and wrote down the retro world of immortality that belongs to me.
I am a complete newcomer with no writing experience. My writing style still has many deficiencies, and the rhythm of the plot is still being polished. There are inevitably omissions and dullness in the book. I hope readers will be tolerant. If you have plot suggestions or character ideas, please leave your opinions in the comment area. I will read every comment carefully.
This book does not pile up an exaggerated combat power system, but prefers the slow-burning quality of traditional cultivation in the early years. It starts from a common little person, steps into the mountain gate, looks for exercises, experiences the world of mortals, and cultivates the mind and body. There are no brainless cheats. Every step of the protagonist's growth will be accompanied by hardships and choices, restoring the simplest path to immortality in my heart.
The road of writing is not easy. I will insist on steady updates every day, just to write a complete and smooth story. If you find it acceptable after reading it, please click to collect it and cast a few recommendation votes. This is a great encouragement and support for new authors.
The road ahead is long, and the old cloud road is still there. I am willing to go on a journey of immortality practice with all my fellow Taoists.
The idea is very unique, but if you want to be popular, the character needs to be established
