The Black Gold Dharma Body

Synopsis Chen Mo, a streetwise thug, dreams of nothing more than getting by without lifting a finger. But one act of courage unexpectedly earns him a bizarre martial art: the Black Gold Dharma Body. It is said to make its practitioner indestructible, but every time he uses it, demonic power eats away at him. As he channels it, black cracks spread across his skin, making him look like a demon god. Once he stops, the chants of countless demons ring in his ears, and one careless moment could plunge him into an endless abyss of slaughter. To stay alive, Chen Mo has no choice but to embark on a quest to find a way to break the curse. He grins and jokes, with a dirty quip always at the ready, yet steps forward whenever danger strikes. He clings to life and quibbles over every little thing, yet is willing to risk everything for those he cares about. The martial world is treacherous, and the court is rife with factional strife. The righteous see him as a demonic abomination, while the demonic path seeks to devour him. And a greater conspiracy is quietly taking shape: the mysterious force known as the Ironclad Guards seems to have had its eye on the secret within him for a long time. This is the legend of an ordinary man from the streets struggling to survive against all odds. As black gold spreads across his body, will he embrace its power, or hold on to the last shred of humanity in his heart?
