The difference between the heretical ways in Shushan
Compared with "Authentic Taoism", "side sect" is just a convenient term for the world, and generally represents a "crooked" and unrighteous concept; but in fact, "side sects" and "left sects" are very different in their secret thoughts, behaviors, cultivation methods, and achievements. Generally speaking, the "side sects" are neither right nor evil; although their practice is not the right path, they do not intentionally do evil; they can still respect the destiny, but at most they are selfish and arrogant. However, since he is devoted to doing good deeds and accumulating virtue, his highest achievement can only reach "Earth Immortal", and there are still 1,500 years of "final calamity" to be tested. For example, it is written in the book that the two old men of Dahuang Mountain, the old man of Cangxu of Damei Mountain, the two old men of Tiancandique, the Lord of Hejia Mountain, Jin Nangong, the ancestor of Arctic Xingkong, the red-haired ancestor of Miaojiang, Master Tianchi, the Lord of Shaoyang, Zanglingzi, and the ape elder are all "earth immortals". Huanzhu often calls them "old seniors in the side sect" or "old monsters" to show their eccentric temperament and unkindness. However, they do have expertise in learning and powerful magic power, and should not be underestimated. For example, the maverick friends of Emei, "Shen Tuo" Yi Xiu and "Poor God" Ling Hun, are not authentic Taoists but close to side sects. Their Taoist cultivation level is even higher than that of the two elders of Songshan. It can be seen that there are sages in side sects who can also achieve positive results, but they get half the result with half the effort and take many detours. Those who are "leftist" are evil sects. "Book of Rites·Kingdom" states: "If you adhere to the left way and disrupt the government, kill!" That is to say, the "left way" is the opposite of the "right way" and is regarded as an evil way. Because what they have learned is not correct, they often find new ways (such as the art of collecting supplements) and are eager to achieve success. Often, in order to achieve their goals, they do whatever it takes to benefit themselves at the expense of others, and do many unjust things; they even kill lives, which harms the harmony of heaven and earth. By the time the evils are full and disaster is imminent, it is already too late to attack. Due to the etheric induction and qi traction of nature, the power of thunder and heaven is brought down, causing the person involved to commit more serious sins and suffer more misfortunes. It can be said that the speed of retribution is faster than the influence! (Note: The theory of Huan Zhu has almost gone beyond the scope of discussion in "Baopuzi" or "Tai Shang Ying Pian", and adopted the Buddhist theory of karma and retribution.) Because the "side sect" earthly immortals and "leftist" evil spirits were afraid that their body and soul would be destroyed when the natural disaster came, they tried every means to seize luck and craft all kinds of powerful magic weapons to resist the natural disaster. This is why "Shu Mountain" writes that the Lord of Heijia Mountain, Bu Nangong, the two old monsters of Tian Can and Di Que, as well as the Nine Lies God Lord, Lord Maha and other side sects or right-wing masters, refined all kinds of incredible "super nuclear bombs". In addition, it is said that it is more difficult for heterogeneous elves (except humans) to cultivate immortality. They must first use more than five hundred years of hard work to refine the "inner elixir"; At this time, the soul gathers together and transforms into a human body, and then it can be qualified as a "human" to cultivate the machine path and become an immortal. This is the only way for the "animal path" to attempt to self-improve the level of life and seek immortality. The most typical example in the book is that of Mrs. Baoxiang, the Heavenly Fox; in the end, if the Three Immortals of the East China Sea had not stepped in to drive away the demons, Mrs. Baoxiang's success would have failed, and she would definitely not be able to transcend the calamity and achieve enlightenment, and her thousand years of hard work would have been in vain!
Baopuzi's influence on Shushan
Undoubtedly, the owner of Huanzhu Tower is a "metaphysicist"; to a considerable extent, he is also a "fatalist". He has very strong thoughts on Buddhism and Taoism, and firmly believes that there is more suffering in the world than happiness, and all living beings must seek the way to self-liberation. As far as metaphysics is concerned, the Buddhist view of "holding the flowers and smiling without losing sight of the words" is actually higher than the Taoist view of "holding simplicity and avoiding complexity, responding to changes in things". Therefore, in "Shu Mountain", Buddha is respected and Tao is secondary, which is taken for granted. But here comes the problem. Buddhism has always said that "you can become a Buddha with your heart", but Taoism has no principle of "becoming a Tao with your heart"; however, the former is too abstract. If used to write novels, it will become a "wordless heavenly book". What is the interest of it? Although the latter is more "mysterious", it is the "door to all wonders"! Therefore, "Shu Mountain" firmly advocates the boundless Buddhism and is the perfect enlightenment, which can subdue evil spirits and save all sentient beings; but it mainly writes about the vicissitudes of the world where ordinary people seek immortals and visit Taoism, and take risks and make troubles. It centers on the "Xuanmen Authentic Sect" portals of Emei Kaifu and Guangda, and describes the paths and processes of sentient beings cultivating Taoism and becoming immortals from various angles. This has to start with "Baopuzi"; because this Taoist "small encyclopedia" is the original embryo of the "Shushan" metaphysics, and half of the wonderful composition of Huanzhu comes from this. According to "Baopuzi", it is a famous alchemist's book written by Ge Hong of Jin Dynasty. It contains twenty volumes and talks about the techniques of gods, cultivation, cultivation, longevity and warding off evil spirits. It has always been valued by the world. This book opens with "Chang Xuan" to clarify the meaning, elucidating the learning of Lao and Zhuang, which is no different; and from "On Immortals" to the following, they all elaborate on the key points of immortals' cultivation of immortality, which is shocking. Now I summarize the most important ones Next: (1) On Immortals: First, dialectically demonstrate the existence of immortals, their principles of immortality, and even the use of "immortal methods". The following quote from the "Immortal Sutra" (?) Says: "When a superior person raises his body to the void, he is called a heavenly immortal; when a sergeant travels to a famous mountain, he is called an immortal of the land; when a corporal person dies and sheds his body, he is called an immortal." (See "On Immortals") It is also said: "Immortals may ascend to heaven or live in the earth to live forever, each according to his own preferences." He also quoted Peng Zu's words: "There are many in the sky. For the great officials and great gods, the new immortals have a low status, and those who serve are not the first, but they work harder; therefore, they are not enough to focus on reaching the sky, and they can only stay in the world for more than 800 years." (See "Dui Su") (2) On good deeds: Quote from the middle chapter of the "Jade Seal Sutra": "Those who are Taoist are to save people from danger, avoid disasters, protect people from diseases, and order people. Don't die in vain. Those who want to be immortals should be based on loyalty, filial piety, kindness, and benevolence... If a person wants to be an immortal on earth, he should do three hundred good deeds; if he wants to be an immortal in heaven, he should do one thousand two hundred good deeds. If he does one evil deed after doing one thousand one hundred and ninety-nine good deeds, he will have to do more good deeds and pass them on to his ears. Medicine is useless." (See "Dui Su") This secret is consistent with what is said in the Taoist exhortation book "Tai Shang Ying Pian" that "there is no way for misfortunes and blessings, only people call for it; the rewards of good and evil follow like shadows", and "one thousand three hundred good deeds" can become a fairy. (3) On the root and bones: First let's talk about whether there is a "Tao seed", and it is said that "the shortening of life is actually worth it; the Qi and the embryo have their own stars... If the life belongs to the birth star, the person must like the immortal way; if he likes the immortal way, he will get it if he seeks it. If the life belongs to the death star, the person will not believe in the immortal way; if he does not believe in the immortal way, he will not cultivate his own affairs." (See "Sai Nan") and also quoted "Immortal Way" "The Sutra" says: "All those who have been destined to have the spirit of immortals are naturally endowed with the nature of belief in the Tao. If they are aware, they will have good intentions and will meet the enlightened master and get the Dharma; otherwise, if they do not believe and seek, they will not get it." (See "Bianwen") As the saying goes: "If there is no immortal bone in this body, even if you meet a true immortal, don't bother to seek it." This saying is quite similar to Buddhist fatalism. (4) On cultivation: There is also the method of immortality by "returning elixir gold liquid", as well as the method of "precious essence walking all over" and the method of guiding fetal breath. There are dozens of elixirs (such as thousand-year-old meat mushrooms) and various elixirs for prolonging life, among which the "Nine Turns Golden Pill" of "Tai Qing Shen Dan" is the most popular. It is said: "Take the elixir and keep it for one day, and you will be in harmony with the heavens; you will restore the vitality of the fetus and prolong your life indefinitely." You can become an immortal in three days, or a hundred days, or three years. (The above classification can be found in each chapter of the volumes of "Dui Su", "Golden Elixir", "Shi Zhi" and "Xian Yao") (5) On magic: First of all, "when immortals gather, there is a way to summon gods and impeach ghosts"; and there are ghosts and gods in mountains, rivers and swamps, who can be used and detained (see "On Immortals"). Then it is clearly stated. The purpose of "tie" is: "Those who do good deeds will nourish themselves internally and eliminate evil externally..." All plagues, evil spirits, five poisons, ferocious beasts, etc. Can all be "scrutinously" banned. As for "using a strong force to restrain a white blade, it can step on it without hurting someone, and stab someone without hurting"; it can also be used to restrain water, fire, wind and snow (see "Zhili Li"). All these are so-called "forbidden methods", which can prevent all evils from invading. There are also various magical talismans, such as the "Great Hidden Talisman" that can make you invisible, the "Laojunren Mountain Talisman" that can ward off mountain spirits and ghosts; there are also "Golden Light Talisman", "Tai Xuan Talisman", "Tongtian Talisman", "Nine Heaven Talisman", "Thunder and Lightning Talisman" and so on. (The above classification can be found in "Za Ying", "Deng She", and "Ya Lan") In addition, there are "Three Ways of Riding and Dancing" (Dragon Jump, Tiger Jump, Lulu Jump), which can travel twelve thousand miles in one day and night; and the "Fractal Way" can fractal into dozens of people at the same time, even in dozens of places, with the same clothes and appearance. There is another "skill of change", and the only one that is said to be great is "Mozi's Five Elements Sound Record" - "The medicinal talismans used in this method can make people fly up and down, and they can't hide in any direction. A smile is a woman, a frown is an old man, and a child is standing on the ground; holding a stick can make a forest, and planting things can make melons and fruits edible; painting the ground is like a river, and pinching it can make a mountain... The second one is "The Hidden Beauty of the Jade Girl" - Volume 1 - 1 "It also takes the form of birds, beasts, gold, wood, and jade, and the clouds make it rain hundreds of miles away, and the snow does the same. It does not use boats to cross the floods; it fractals into thousands of people, flying high due to the wind, and there are no people around it; it can exhale seven colors, sit down and see the eight poles and things underground, shine thousands of miles, and the dark room is self-illuminating" (see "Za Ying", "Di Zhen" and "Ya Lan" for the above) From the above-mentioned summary of the content of "Baopuzi", it can be seen that almost all of its discussion of immortality, good deeds, bones, cultivation, and magic are not based on "Shushan"; it is just that the latter extended its principles, so its explanations were highly artistic, but it has reservations about the former's method of "summoning gods and impeaching ghosts" and "the art of gathering yin and nourishing yang"; therefore, Huanzhu. The "Evolutionary Theory of Immortal Cultivation" constructed by the poster himself is different from the "authentic Taoism" and the "extraordinary heresy" (details later) According to the Song Dynasty Alchemy Book "Cultivation of Tai Chi Hunyuan Diagram", "Dongtian Ji" says: "If a person pursues the Tao and refines the essence into elixir, he can live forever; if he refines the essence and becomes a god, he can abandon his shell and ascend to immortality, and first live in the Three Islands. If you are tired of living in the Three Islands, you should return to the earthly world and turn to preaching and saving people. After completing your work, you will receive the Purple Edict and the Pill Book and go to the cave from the Three Islands. The cave sky is between nothingness and is the place where immortals live. If you are tired of living in the cave heaven, you will serve as an immortal official: the upper day will be called "Heaven Official", the middle day will be called "Earth Official", and the lower day will be called "Shui Official". If you have made great achievements in heaven and earth, and have performed great deeds in ancient and modern times, you should ascend to heaven as a true king and never return to the human world again. " This theory is commonly used by Taoist alchemists. It is much more detailed than the order of superior, middle and inferior scholars in attaining the Tao as stated in "Baopuzi"; it may also be one of the original mystical principles of Huanzhu. For example, "Shu Mountain" writes that the master and apprentice of Chizhang Zhenren in Lingqiao Immortal Mansion in Tianpeng Mountain or Li Jingxu, the blissful boy, should be between heavenly immortals and earthly immortals; while the masters and apprentices of Beihai Jellyfish receive their vocation, they are passed down as narcissus. There is no doubt that he was named a "Water Official". Although "Dongtian Ji" does not specify the importance of "good deeds" to the success of cultivators, it is not as important as Huanzhu Miaoyu's "path to immortality"; but judging from the early or late time of their enlightenment (or even staying in the world for thousands of years), it must be closely related to whether they are "authentic Xuanmen" and how many "good deeds" they have established. Therefore, the theory of cultivating good deeds and achieving enlightenment in "Shushan" should be carefully explored.
The authentic Taoism is the only way to achieve enlightenment
According to the original Buddhist term "Xuanmen", it refers to the mysterious method. For example, the Huayan Sutra has the theory of "Ten Mysterious Gates"; while the "Pure Land Treatise" says: "The Pure Land Mysterious Gate is praised by all directions." However, the opening statement of Laozi's "Tao Te Ching" that had been circulated among the people said: "The Tao can be taught, but it is not the ordinary Tao... Mysterious and mysterious, the door of many wonderful things." Therefore, Taoists and later generations of Taoists have always regarded themselves as "Xuanmen". Over time, people in the world have become accustomed to calling Taoism Taoism, which is a relative term for Buddhism or Zen. In the same way, the word "authentic" originally came from Buddhism, referring to the direct sect passed down by Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism (see "Quotations of Zen Master Yunfeng. Preface"); and all major sutras are classified as "authentic" to reveal the purpose of the main text, so it is called the authentic sect of Buddhism. Due to its influence, later generations generally refer to all pure and unadulterated spiritual practices and even true transmission of skills as "authentic teachings". Therefore, "authentic" is no longer a term specific to Buddhism, but is commonly used by all walks of life to flaunt that what they learn is in line with the true way and is not comparable to other people in the world. What the owner of Huanzhu Tower calls "authentic Buddhism" specifically refers to the unique method taught by the orthodox monks through the "Tai Qing Immortal Method". Although the order of practicing Xuan Gong is not described in detail, it is only said to be "concentrating the spirit and refining the Qi", which is practiced by Shaoyang Shengong master. However, it is generally believed to be as mentioned by the ancient alchemy Taoists, and the main focus is to cultivate the essence, force and spirit in the body. Yu Yan went through the three-level cultivation process of "refining Qi to transform, refining Qi to transform into spirit, and refining spirit to return to void"; he first cultivated the "inner elixir" (which is condensed by the movement of Qi in the belly), and then bred into the "Taoist Yuanying" (the "ego" transformed by the Yuan Shen). From then on, Zong could shed his physical body, fly without trace, talk freely, play in the world, and become Baopuzi, the so-called "corpse-dissolving immortal" by Ge Hong, or "loose immortal". At this point, it is necessary to go out on the layman's path and accumulate merits in order to establish "external skills". Generally speaking, those who practice the "Authentic Taoism" method of mind only need to be dedicated to goodness, step by step, and success will come naturally. When the inner and outer merits are perfected, one can achieve positive results and ascend to the Purple Mansion (Note: refers to the realm of spiritual sky and heaven, Taiqing Fairyland), and achieve the ultimate goal of immortality and the same life span as heaven; it seems that there is no need to go through the "earth immortal" stage before one can go straight to the nine heavens. The distinction here is subtle, and it is actually related to the great aspirations of the immortal cultivators. For example, "Shu Mountain" writes that the originator of the Emei Sect, Changmei Zhenren, is the portal of Guangda Emei. He once paid homage to the Heavenly Court and made a grand vow to "establish thirty million external skills" (completed by three generations of disciples) - this is more than ten thousand compared to the statement in "Baopuzi" that "if you want to be an immortal, you should establish a thousand and two hundred good deeds" Times! Therefore, the Emei Sect's "Xuanmen Authentic Sect" has unique achievements and good results; while the Qingcheng Sect, which is also known as the "Xuanmen Authentic Sect" (note: Huanzhu once wrote another book "Nineteen Heroes of Qingcheng" for it), has less good deeds and a small pattern, so it cannot be compared. Furthermore, Huanzhu also pays certain attention to the conditions for cultivators of immortality, mainly in terms of whether they have the "roots" to learn Taoism and the quality of their character. In "Shu Mountain", the eight characters "immortal bones are beautiful and the roots are deep" are often used to describe someone's innate endowment (which Ge Hong calls "Tao seed") that "comes naturally from birth"; with the addition of a childlike human nature and a pure mind, he is the best choice for cultivating immortality. On the other hand, if the foundation is too weak, the mind is not right, and if you are tempted by evil spirits, lose the "Yuan Yang", and destroy the body of discipline (the foundation of the Tao), then no matter how hard you practice, you will never be able to become an immortal or achieve the Tao. Even if it is a coincidence of immortal fate and the practice of "Xuanmen Authentic Sect" is in vain if the Taoist heart is not firm. For example, it is written in the book that Deng Yin, the "son of the blood god", the younger brother of Changmei Zhenren, was seduced by a witch and was unable to extricate himself. He eventually fell into the devil's path and was destroyed physically and mentally. What a mistake!
Another 2B just passed through. I just said that it would take thousands of years for the ancient divine dove to wake up after being poisoned. But I woke it up by raising my hand, haha 🙂
The author is so good at writing books. It made me upset when I read it. I really couldn't appreciate it and slipped away.
The technique practiced by the corpse demon is the Nine Heavens Mysterious Sutra, so it will be very difficult to collapse.
Fans of Shushan have read it a lot, but have never read the original work.
It is clear that the Nine Heavens Mysterious Sutra was passed down from Lingkong Immortal Mansion. What did you think of Guangchengzi? Isn't this nonsense? When writing a book, don't read the original work.
Locusts swarmed and pig's feet were used to clean the floor, but they were not used or used.
🎭 Character design: OK 🎬 Plot: Yes ✒️Writing: Can read It's hard to write about Shushan fandom, so please do your best, author.
Can you write more rigorously, one is Neidan and the other is Nascent Soul. There are also typos. I hope they can be corrected.
Shushan fandom is a niche group
Shushan novels are not easy to write. Great masters can make arrangements for you clearly. There are also the creation, restraint, control, and transformation of fate. Why can the juniors in Emei be able to deal with the demons? Because the fates are in conflict with each other.
The corpse of a married man is weird. .
The Tao is meant to be used
The corpse demon should be equipped with blood nerves, and the hybrid demon path should look like the hybrid demon path. It is possible to cultivate the three paths of Buddhism and Demonism at the same time, but the roots should still be in the Demonic Path! 🔨
Shushan
There are not many Shushan fans, so I must come to cheer and support ✊Write well and vote for you
The writing is a bit rough, and the writing style is generally on the higher side. I have always felt that the plot of fan fiction should be innovative, but the relationship, stance, and emotions of the original characters cannot change too much, otherwise the reading will be very fragmented (Rong Dun's private stance is a failure. I think the author does not know how to control it, and wants to make the protagonist a loner. The writing can be simpler, but it does not follow logical development and is forced to go offline). Observe again, if it is written like this in thirty chapters, it is not worth reading anymore.
This is a good book I found within a week. The author writes wonderfully, but unfortunately there are too few and not enough to read👍👍👍
I seem to have read this story before. Was it blocked later?
I've finished reading it, and it's okay to write so far. The plot is compact, but this subject matter is niche after all, and it's difficult to make money.
One
Excluding the Qidian official and the author, I am the eighth reader to post. I have become a veteran and follow the author. I have nothing to do with each other. 2026/7/23 This book's potential number 069
Overall, it's pretty good. It's all about the food and grass in Shushan. There are also many small flaws. The layout and planning need to be improved. The author may not have read the original Shushan book completely, but it's worth a read.
The author writes well, I fell in love with it😍
