Pokémon: the Promise of Chenghai

Shen Lan is the water gym leader in Chenghai City and the director of the Chenghai Water Pokémon Research Institute. Others guarded the gym to wait for the trainer to challenge him; he guarded the gym to fight badge battles during the day and lead a team into the sea to rescue Pokémon at night. On the opening day of the new challenge season, the water flow in the gym suddenly reversed, and the young water-type Pokémon in Blue Scale Bay left their nests en masse. Shen Lan interrupted the battle and rushed to the rescue, but was misunderstood by the new challenger Lin Che as "the owner of the gym evading the challenge." It wasn't until Lin Che followed him into the heavy rain, sea tides and sirens that she understood for the first time: What the water gymnasium protects is never just a badge. As the old underwater observatory was restarted, mysterious water Pokémon appeared, and the Abyssal Project surfaced, the tides in Chenghai began to get out of control. And Shen Lan must bring the gym, scientific research institute, trainers and Pokémon to prove that true strength lies not in forcibly breaking through nature, but in understanding the flow of water.
