Peace Across the Land

Two moons hang in the sky, one dragon and one wolf. A thousand years ago, the Pact of the Dragon-Sundering Platform drew the river as a boundary, with the court and the martial world each keeping to their own lands. “The dragon shall not cross the river; the wolf shall not violate the palace.” Whoever breaks the rule dies. The Seventh Prince, Li Chang'an, is Tianjing's most inconspicuous invalid, and the martial world’s nameless swordsman, who leaves no trace of his blade. His mother was executed for entering the martial world, charged with “letting the dragon enter the martial world.” It took him fifteen years to uncover a secret: his mother did not die for a crime. Someone needed her silenced. Above every enemy stands another enemy; above every rule, another rule. At the end of his investigation, he discovers that he is the most important pawn in the secret himself. The court's Longyuan Pavilion, the martial world's Qingyi Tower, the Tianya Sea Pavilion... Everyone is waiting for him to step onto the Dragon-Sundering Platform. On a snowy night, he sets out with his sword to honor the appointment. Behind him lies all under heaven; before him stands a thousand-year-old iron law. Someone asks him: Are you overturning one man's case, or the whole world? He does not answer. But later, the stele beside the Dragon-Sundering River is replaced. Eight characters are carved into it: Dragon and wolf are gone; peace reigns under heaven.
