Anchor

In the apocalypse when the "past" is disappearing at an accelerating rate, a despairing historical anchor takes on the final task - to investigate a strange building from the future, only to discover that this forgotten catastrophe is not a natural disaster, but a war weapon from the distant future. He ultimately sacrifices his own existence to disguise humanity's distress signal into the amnesia mechanism itself.
