Yesterday's Thoughts, Today's Moments

Essay introduction These random writings have no clear theme. Sometimes it's the sound of the wind and sand hitting the windowsill in the Gobi Desert, sometimes it's the light that never goes out late at night, sometimes it's a person sitting at the table drinking cool tea and refilling it with new ones. They are incoherent and incomplete. Some of them were put aside at the beginning, and some did not know what they were writing until the end. But I didn't delete it. I keep them because every time I look back, I can see where my hand stopped and the pen tip paused a few times on the paper. There is more hidden in that pause than the main text. Casual writing is sometimes more true than deliberate writing because it was written without anyone thinking about who it was going to read. Prose introduction These words are fragments salvaged from a longer narrative. They have no complete plot, no cause and effect, only a short segment of light, a silhouette, and an unfinished sentence. I picked them out separately, not because they are important enough to deserve their own article, but because they are the kind of parts that are easily overlooked in narratives - those gaps filled with silence, those frames that should not be cut.
