Earthly Treasures

The Qi in the human world waxes and wanes, and the wall between Yin and Yang becomes thicker and thinner depending on the Qi. When the Qi is strong, the two paths are clear, and humans and ghosts go their separate ways; when the Qi is weak, the boundary wall loosens, and foreign objects of unknown origin seep into the human world along the cracks. Since ancient times, things that have seeped in have each found a way to survive. Some borrowed the incense from one village and one household to take shape and became what the people call "immortals"; some received the prayers of generations and were wrapped in golden bodies by the power of the wishes; and some could not integrate into the human world, so they hid in the mountains and deep seas, easily not showing up. Xie Tian has traveled to many places and encountered many things whose origins are unclear. Every time he walked, he understood a little more: those things were not here to harm people, they were just looking for a way. If this road is broken, take another one. So do people. Most of the wars, plagues, and dynasty changes in ancient times have the shadow of the collapse of the boundary wall. But no one connects these things. Those who know will not tell, and no one will believe it if they tell. It will only cause greater chaos. Now the boundary wall is getting thinner again. Small strange things are scattered everywhere, no one notices, and there is no way to stop them. Xie Tian stood at the thinned place and used the method he knew how to compact it again. He does not practice immortality, does not become a disciple, and has no fixed inheritance. He could just feel where that border was going and keep walking.
