In the original story setting, the boy who was called "idiot" by the whole village failed to wake up from the night of drowning. When Xiaoyu returned to the fishing village, the pier was crowded with people. Some people said "I'm so dead" and others sighed. She didn't even say goodbye. But I don't accept this ending. In my story, Xiaoyu learned first aid in the city. She knelt on the beach and snatched him back from the sea when everyone else gave up. Then she walked into his small house and saw paintings all over the wall... An old locust tree, a lighthouse, a bus going away, and countless numbers of her. She discovers a secret that has been hidden for five years: he spent all his money to send the letter that sent her out of the fishing village. Later, it was her turn to send him out of the fishing village. From youth to adulthood, from separation to reunion, two children, pushed by fate, used paintbrushes and waiting to make the three words "painting come alive" from a silly saying to the rest of each other's lives. All the missed mountains and seas, all the regretful old dreams, one day we will run in both directions and meet again every year.
