I Am Practicing in the Audit Bureau

In the eighth month of unemployment, I only received responses from two hundred resumes: City Appearance Data Management Center, five insurances and one fund, and will start the job next Monday. This is the Reality Review Bureau. Reality produces illegal data - extra doors, duplicate passers-by, one floor less than yesterday, and we file them according to the "Procedures". To pronounce the clause number is to enforce reality. Only I can see the hidden appendices in the protocol that no one else can see. It gives me deeper rules and more ruthless loopholes - but every time I read one, a piece of my memory is mortgaged and archived. First it was the name of my deskmate in junior high school, and then... It was my mother's face. The scariest thing is not that I have forgotten someone, but that I don't know that I have forgotten.
