Meishan Chant

"Meishan Chanzhang" is based on the Wu Nuo folk customs of ancient Meishan Cave in Xuefeng Mountain. It takes Meishan's unique secret technique of "releasing the yin to lead the dead" as the core. The story begins in the countryside. Chen Dongsheng uses orthodox Meishan techniques to resolve folk strange things such as evil spirits disturbing houses in villages and children losing their souls, and presides over a complete release ceremony to appease the ancestral spirits. He learned the secret skills of Meishan's rampant soldiers, traveled to various caves and villages, broke down the evil practices of other sects, purified the customs of the masters, and personally experienced ancient Nuo rituals such as going up the knife mountain and throwing cards excessively. He went deep into the boundary between Yin and Yang several times to release Yin, allowing him to glimpse the secrets of the seal under Meishan, and to understand his destiny of guarding the spiritual veins of mountains and rivers. As Taoist sects from the Central Plains and foreign warlocks entered the mountains to covet spiritual veins, they regarded Meishan witches and Nuo as heretics and rejected them. The thousand-year seal of Meishan has been loosened, ancient evil spirits have appeared and caused chaos, and disasters have occurred throughout the land. Chen Dongsheng gathered the orthodox Nuo masters and hunters scattered in the mountains and fields, deployed rampant soldiers to suppress An Hun, rectify the source, and adhere to Meishan Taoism. When the ultimate catastrophe came, he used the idea of ​​entering the secret realm of ancestral spirits and consuming Yang Shou's soul as a guide to awaken the ancestors of the past generations and the ancestral spirit of Zhang Wulang to put an end to the thousand-year catastrophe. After the mountains and rivers returned to peace, Chen Dongsheng gave up his magic and went into seclusion, sorting out the lost mantras, Nuo rituals and Meishan ancient ballads, spreading the spirit of Meishan's tenacity and dominance, and unyielding defense of the land, so that the thousand-year Meishan witchcraft and Nuo culture can continue to be passed down.
