Deep Space Code: the Age of Stars

When the entire universe was confirmed to be a super-dimensional operating system that had been running for 13.8 Billion years, "immortality" was just a reverse cracking of the system's underlying code, and "ascension" was formatted by the system and thrown into the recycle bin. Seven aliens marked by the system as "fatal errors" decided to use bugs to rewrite the ultimate fate of the universe.
