Shu Soul

This is a "memory ecology" science fiction based on the industrial ruins in the eastern suburbs of Chengdu, trying to explore the symbiosis of technological wonders and regional history at the literary level. In the eastern suburbs of Chengdu, abnormal ground vibrations occurred at the site of the Hongguang Factory, and young physicist Su Mo (associate professor of Sichuan University) was invited to "put out the fire." During the investigation, he accidentally discovered that a wall in the abandoned boiler room of Dongjiao Memory was buzzing, and he also detected a series of abnormal frequencies: 10.2 Hz. The vibration frequency is highly consistent with the notes left by his father, Su Zhenhua, the deputy director of the laboratory who disappeared in the factory many years ago. Following this clue, Su Mo visited the surviving old workers of the Hongguang Factory, and stepped into the depths of the ruins many times. The bronze fragments excavated from Sanxingdui, the hidden patterns on the gold foil of the Sun Bird at the Jinsha site, and the ancient chants from deep underground revealed the dusty past of "Laboratory 03" in 1984: a runaway experiment codenamed "Sample" was not destroyed, but sank into the geological bottom of the Chengdu Plain, forming a slowly growing memory ecosystem. When the system was on the verge of losing control, Su Mo refused the outside order of "physical destruction" and chose to go deep underground. In the center of the earth, he met his father, who had guarded the system with ideology for many years, and took over the mission of "guide". Using his own consciousness as an anchor, he calibrated this ancient "heart" intertwined with industrial memory and ancient Shu history. Eventually, the light seeker becomes light.
