On March 19, the seventeenth year of Chongzhen, the city of Beijing was destroyed. At noon on the same day, 700,000 people in Sheshan, on the eastern outskirts of Nanjing, together with the entire city, fell four hundred years ago. In the city of Nanjing, no one knew that the northern capital had fallen; in Sheshan, the power and network were cut off, and they could no longer wait for instructions from their superiors. The machines are still running, but fuel and medicine cannot be replenished, and electricity and water supply cannot be maintained for long. A four-hundred-year technological gap is enough to win a war, but it may not be enough to support a city. The first thing Sheshan has to do is to keep 700,000 people alive. Then step out of the border and face a world that is about to collapse. Daming doesn't have much time left.
