Return to the Tomb

An old copper lamp dug out of the saline-alkali land led to a secret burial tomb dedicated to "taking names of the living." Gu Chuan and Zhou Xiaoman went all the way to the bottom of the tomb, only to find that what they returned to the Deng Tomb to guard was not the treasure, but an old case that had not been completed twenty years ago. The lamp illuminates not the road, but the name; the sign does not mark the dead, but the living; and what is buried behind the deepest door is not a corpse, but a certificate that cannot see the light.
