Bixia

Bixia Yuanjun, also known as Taishan Jade Girl, Taishan Empress, Taishan Grandma, and Three Immortals Holy Mother, is a mountain god belief (Taoism) centered in the North China region of mainland China. The Taoist scriptures call it "the immortal jade girl Bixia protects the world and Hongji Zhenren" and "the immortal jade girl protects the life of the real person Hongde Bixia Yuanjun". He is called the "Yuqing Emperor" in "Daishi". Because she is based in Mount Tai, she is honored as the Holy Mother of Mount Tai, Bixia Yuanjun, and is commonly known as the Empress of Mount Tai. The full name is "Bixia Yuanjun, the immortal jade girl from Mount Tai of Dongyue". His monastery is Mount Tai, Dongyue, the most sacred of the five mountains in China. Bixia Yuanjun's belief has a profound influence. Temples dedicated to him have expanded from Mount Tai to all over the country. The incense is strong and the belief spreads throughout most of China. Because she responded to requests and was approachable, she became a loving mother and saint in the hearts of the people. Its Christmas Day celebrations are grand, and the related temple fairs are grand in scale, attracting devotees from many surrounding areas to worship and pray for peace and happiness. Its belief carries the people's yearning for a happy life, and is also integrated with the cultural essence of persuading people to do good, becoming a highly influential symbol of folk belief.
