Reborn in 2006: Starting a Motorcycle Company by Following Zhang Xue

In 2026, Chen Ye, an award-winning documentary director, was riding in a helicopter at the Dakar Rally when he unexpectedly came back to life, jolting back to the raw, untamed year of 2006.

When he opened his eyes, he was an intern at Hunan TV's Evening News, one mistake away from being fired.

Standing before his camera in the pouring rain, covered in mud and blood after a brutal fall, was a 19-year-old rural motorcycle mechanic, desperately hoping for a chance to appear on television...

He was none other than Zhang Xue, the future founder of Zhang Xue Motorcycles, who would shock the world, break foreign monopolies, and become a world champion!

At the time, Zhang Xue had just 300 yuan in his pocket and rode a beat-up Honda that was about to fall apart. Everyone thought he was a braggart and a madman.

"Don't turn it off. Get the camera in closer."

Chen Ye picked up the old tape camera and hit record.

Now that I'm reborn, I may not know how to lean into a turn or fix a motorcycle.

But I know how to use the best cameras, the boldest media campaigns, and savvy capital to carve out a path to greatness for China's motorcycle industry in this wild era!

Zhang Xue: "I'll do anything to get onto a racing team, even wash their clothes and cook for them!"

Chen Ye: "Why wash their clothes? I'll buy the whole team. You just focus on twisting that throttle all the way on the track!"
