Destiny for You and Me

In the early 1980s, the spring breeze of China's reform and opening up blew across the country. A group of rural teenagers born in the 1960s embarked on their own life journeys in the wave of the times. The novel takes Zhou Jingxi as the core character and connects the ups and downs of the fate of more than a dozen fellow villagers. Because his family was poor, Zhou Jingxi had no intention of studying. After graduating from high school, he worked in Guangdong, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Hainan and other places, working as a construction worker, rubber tapper, oil pumper, and security guard. After many hardships, he always had a literary dream. In the end, with more than ten years of unremitting perseverance, he stepped from the bottom of society to become a writer. His classmate Li Jue lost his father when he was young and dropped out of school early. He made a living by raising ducks, cutting rosin, and working part-time, and eventually built a building for his son to start a family. Jiang Liqing started as a polisher in a fishing gear factory, taught himself clothing design, opened a shop in the city, and bought a car. Buying a house; Zhou Feng, Jiang Gangli, Zhou Hai, Sunday Le, Jiang Tianyuan, Jiang Dazhuang, Jiang Ting, Zhou Lingmin, Jiang Qi, Zhou Qiqiong and other partners are either farming, working, political, or doing business, and each of them is struggling in the torrent of the times.
