Secrets of Wen Kou

There is a century-old well on the outskirts of Nantong City. The water in the well is crystal clear. It is said that hysterics were cured by drinking it. It is regarded as a "sacred spring" by the local people. But recently, all those who took advantage of the well suddenly fell ill and died after returning home, and the sound of women sobbing could be heard in the well every night. In order to solve the mystery, scholar Liu Wenqing stayed next to the well at night, but he saw a female ghost in a green shirt float out of the well, crying that she was a peasant girl who was humiliated and threw herself into the well a few years ago, and that the "divine power" of the well water was actually transformed by her resentment, and anyone who blasphemed would be counterattacked.
