Old Bathhouse

In an ancient city in the north, there is a century-old bathhouse called "Qingquan Pool". The bathhouse was built in the early years of the Republic of China. It has blue bricks and gray tiles. It contains a large pool, small single rooms, a bathing bed, and a lounge. In the early 1980s, the bathhouse was the only place for city residents to take a bath. It was so crowded on weekends that the pool was like dumplings. But there is a rule in the bathhouse: no one is allowed to enter the pool after twelve o'clock at night. Legend has it that a woman died in the pool before liberation. Since then, every night, the pool will bubble, as if someone is breathing below. In 1982, a new bather came to the bathhouse.
