The Outcast of The Uncanny Counter

When Lin Yue, a history student from the twenty-first century, crashes into Chang'an's bitter winter snow in the first year of Guangming, Huang Chao's iron hooves are already smashing through the Vermilion Bird Gate. He becomes the most out-of-place stranger in this age of chaos.

What should have been cold words on the pages of history books now unfolds before his eyes as gushing blood and deafening cries of battle. Huang Chao, the “Heaven-Raising General” who should have been impossibly distant, becomes the only person he can rely on when his life is on the line.

A transmigrated outsider, armed with the script of history yet trapped amid the blades and shadows of the late Tang. With a Bad People token hidden in his sleeve, he stands between the game of chaos unfolding under Huang Chao and the dying struggle of the remnants of the Li Tang dynasty. Should he remain a detached passerby, or risk his life to rewrite this history, steeped in blood and fire?

Snow falls over Chang'an as beacon fires flare on every horizon. One stranger enters the jianghu, and a song of the Bad People tells the tale of the late Tang's turbulent times.
