Spring Tides of Love

In the eyes of outsiders, Jiang Li and Shen Shiyuan are a perfectly matched couple, the envy of everyone around them. No one knows why Jiang Li, a bounty hunter, agreed to a contract marriage with him. On the day her plan is about to succeed, she intends to walk away. But she never expects Shen Shiyuan to pin her hard against the cold tiles that night. Her sensitive waist is soft and helpless beneath his fingers as he leans close to her ear and sneers, “Once we’ve started, there’s no reason to stop.” She slips drugs into a kiss, thinking she can get away, but accidentally triggers amnesia in Shen Shiyuan, whose brain was once badly injured. Taking advantage of Shen Shiyuan’s confused memories, Jiang Li takes a gamble and opens an order to grab the money and run. After accomplishing twice as much in half the time, she asks for a divorce. In the middle of the night, Shen Shiyuan pins her against the headboard, the corners of his eyes red as he bites her neck. “Darling, say those two words again and I’ll lose my mind. You won’t be able to take it.” * Shen Shiyuan, the powerful head of a tech empire with influence in both the underworld and the legitimate world, sees marriage as nothing more than an efficient merger of interests. He knew all along that his contract wife was a poisonous rose, yet let her play her part for six months, wanting to see where she would finally sink her thorns. He simply never expected to wake up with no memory of his past with Jiang Li, remembering only that she was his wife and that they were on the final day of their divorce cooling-off period. The divorce is put on hold, and now he begins to lure her into his trap. That day, Jiang Li straddles his lap and snips the buttons off his shirt with a pair of scissors. Her fingertips lightly trace his chest as she murmurs, “Mr. Shen, aren’t you afraid... that indulging me like this could cost you your life?”
