After Marrying into the Family as a Substitute to Bring Good Fortune, the Mad Prince Took Me by Force

Guan Yue married into the Marquis of Ning'an's household as a concubine brought in to bring good fortune. Less than half a year later, the old marquis suddenly died. The entire household waited to see her, a pampered concubine with no one to rely on, reduced to a pawn anyone could trample. She hid her joy beneath a sorrowful facade, never expecting to reunite at the funeral hall with someone from her past: Pei Chen, newly enfeoffed as Prince Yi and the old marquis's younger brother. He was the lover she had abandoned three years ago. Pei Chen looked at her with loathing and, under the pretext of “restoring the household's morals,” confined her to a remote courtyard. Little did he know that when he entered her room in the dead of night, he would grip her waist with cruel force and say, “Guan Yue, it's time you paid your debt.” By day, every word he spoke was an insult, crushing her dignity beneath his feet. By night, he pressed her again and again, his burning kisses leaving her nowhere to hide as he demanded she pleasure him. He hated that she had sought the favor of the powerful, that she had given herself to his elder brother, and that she had “betrayed” him back then. Yet he refused to let her go. Only when she was covered in wounds and vanished from his sight for good, leaving behind news of her “death,” did he finally lose his mind. Before her red coffin, he knelt for three days and three nights. Blood stained his black robes, and his sobs were hoarse and broken. “Guan Yue, please... Please come back. Please look at me one more time...” Later, everyone in the capital knew that the all-powerful Prince Yi had gone mad searching for a deceased concubine of the marquis's household. He crossed countless mountains and rivers, cutting down everyone who stood in his way, all to find the woman from his past.
