When I Was Reborn, I Worked as a Photographer in Jiangnan

Before the smell of disinfectant water in the ICU dissipated, Lin Yanzhou took the unfinished "Jiangnan Memories" photo album and was reborn back to the ancient town of Jiangnan in 2018 - three months before he gave up photography and left the water town in his previous life. In Yuxiang, she encounters Su Qingyuan who holds ancient books. At the teahouse, she meets Lin Wan, who sticks to old craftsmanship. When her camera breaks down, she meets Xia Zhixia, a capable digital expert. The four people got connected because of Jiangnan. From recording the fireworks in the rain alley and the morning view of the ancient bridge, to jointly promoting silk reeling as intangible cultural heritage and fighting against over-development, they used their cameras and actions to protect the ancient town's green tiles, white walls and cultural roots. From the solo photography dream to the collective battle of guardianship, from the first glimpse of the encounter to the perfect photo of the ancient ferry, Lin Yanzhou not only completed "Jiangnan Memories", but also retained the poetry of the water town, the warmth of craftsmanship, and a new chapter of Jiangnan that transcended regrets and was full of warmth.
