Lost in the Lingering Warmth

[A carefree, rebellious racing prodigy × a gentle, quiet violinist]

[Freedom fell in love with stillness, and time found its meaning]

At eighteen, Lin Ti did the boldest and bravest thing she’d ever done in the ten years since joining the Lin family, years in which they’d worn down her edges and made her obedient, proper, and meek.

She turned four years of secret love into an open confession and told Shen Zhuo how she felt.

The young man’s charming, peach-blossom eyes merely swept over her as he scoffed, “Lots of people like me. Who are you supposed to be? Get in line if you want to chase me.”

Seven years later, after traveling more than ten thousand kilometers and spending twenty-one hours on the journey, Lin Ti returns to the capital. The first familiar face she sees is Shen Zhuo.

By then, he’s a rising new king of the racetrack, a sensation drawing everyone’s attention.

She, meanwhile, is just a newcomer who’s only begun to make a name for herself in the world of music.

The two of them were never supposed to cross paths again, but Shen Zhuo insists on paying whatever it takes to reconnect the thread between them.

At the F1 championship ceremony, amid the roar of the crowd, he stands before her in a black-and-white racing suit, helmet tucked under one arm and the trophy representing his glory in the other. He’s full of confidence, though his tousled bangs make him look obedient and honest.

He makes his Nth confession, calling her by the old name buried in the river of time. “Ruan Cheng, I’ll give you the trophy. Let me cut in line, okay? Will you go out with me?”
