Peasant Revolt in the Late Yuan Dynasty

The peasant uprising at the end of the Yuan Dynasty (mid-14th century) was an anti-feudal struggle of the peasant class that broke out in the late Yuan Dynasty. This peasant war was unprecedented in scale, duration, and comprehensiveness of the insurgent class. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, political corruption was dark, land was highly concentrated, class conflicts and ethnic conflicts became increasingly acute. At the same time, floods and droughts occurred frequently, the Yellow River burst many times, natural and man-made disasters occurred, and a situation emerged where "trees were peeled off to eat their bark, and grasses were dug up to eat their roots."
