In 2042, the Chinese neuroscience team developed the "Neural Imaging System" (NIS), which captures brain nerve signals through a brain-computer interface and combines it with an AI model to decode and generate visual images in real time. The basic version can reproduce recent memories and dream fragments, and is used to awaken the memory of Alzheimer's patients and assist communication for aphasics; the enhanced version can penetrate the surface of consciousness, unearth subconscious trauma, unspoken imagination, and even modify memory nodes. When the technology was first born, it was hailed as a "beacon that illuminates people's hearts." However, it quickly fell into the ethical vortex of "healing" and "control": capital coveted its commercial value (memory customization, emotional goods), while developers struggled on the boundary between "rescue" and "evil".
