The Sun Rises Over North America, Starting in Chinatown

In the late nineteenth century, Li Qin arrived in San Francisco's Chinatown. Associations, gangs, casinos, and opium dens lined the streets; Chinese people, white people, immigrants, and natives were at each other's throats. On the eve of the Chinese Exclusion Act, all of Chinatown was still caught in a spiral of infighting. “Wait...,” Li Qin said indignantly. “Why are you stealing my turf? I already circled it on the map. Are you blind?” From Craftsmanship (LV.1) and English (LV.1) to Firearms (Expert) and Eyes Everywhere (Expert). From Chinatown to San Francisco, and eventually across all of America. Many years later, Li Qin pointed to the flag spread out on the table and said to the person beside him: “The stars in the upper-left corner are an eyesore.
