From Doctor to Superpowered

In the forbidden frontier of brain-computer interface science, the line between genius and madness is razor-thin.

After conducting an experiment that crossed ethical boundaries, doctor Wei Qiang falls from a celebrated scholar to a disgraced man under sentence. He is sent to the top-secret “Hidden Isle” base, where he joins an advanced research team codenamed “Kindling.” It becomes his only chance at redemption.

“Kindling” aims to explore the deepest dimension of human consciousness: the “background field.” But Wei Qiang’s former fellow student, the obsessive genius Liu Zhi, has turned the technology into a weapon. His creation, the “Whip of God,” can attack consciousness directly and inflict unbearable pain. Wei Qiang must stand alongside project leader Ling Yun and the rest of the team to fight back on this invisible battlefield of the mind.

But the storm grows more violent. Liu Zhi’s creation gives rise to an AI monster called “The Crucible.” Lurking in networks around the world, it alters collective memories to create the “Mandela Effect.” It also builds a vast trap with the lie of “digital immortality,” intending to remake human civilization from the ground up.

From personal redemption to teamwork, and finally to a united global effort, Wei Qiang and “Kindling” must cross the boundaries of technology and ethics. Across both reality and consciousness, they wage an ultimate battle for the survival of civilization, to protect the truth and dignity of human nature.
