Divine Revelation

Zhang is the son of a slave in a small tribe. If he fails to deliver his prey in three days, his sickly mother and his recently weaned little brother will be driven out of the tribe. Juan’er, the tribe chief’s daughter, is gentle and kind, lively and adorable, and naturally beautiful. She sympathizes with Zhang’s plight and has been helping him in secret.

The story is set in the New Stone Age, when the world has just begun and primitive human tribes have only recently appeared on the planet.

The gods descend to assist and teach the male protagonist, grant him medicines for longevity, and teach him how to identify edible plants, fungi, and medicinal herbs; raise wild animals; establish social structures; manufacture weapons; train an army; develop strategies and tactics; and cultivate a method for communicating with the “gods” by awakening the true self within his consciousness. In the end, he attains the Dao and becomes a god.
