The Mother Tongue Apocalypse

Story background: In the 1990s, a research vessel runs into trouble on its return voyage. The male protagonist is calmly meditating in his cabin as part of his daily routine. Suddenly, the voice in his mind, which often communicates with him, changes. The voice he has always believed to be his “true self” is gone, replaced by that of a middle-aged woman, warm and compassionate, with an unmistakable, magnetic quality. This marks the beginning of the protagonist’s communication with his mother. He asks the voice who she is, and she replies, “Just call me Mother.” Is she an alien? A supernatural being? A higher-dimensional entity? The story leaves readers with endless possibilities.

In the end, the story will reveal a truth that is astonishing and jaw-dropping.

The plot is deeply immersive and tightly reasoned. This is a story worth reading: entertaining in your free time, yet thought-provoking at the same time.
