Starvault Chronicles: the Ring of Origin

Protagonist: Ling Hao Origin: A young man from "Black Rock Village" located in a borderland with poor resources. His parents were ordinary hunters who disappeared (suspected to have died) while protecting the village during an animal attack. Opening: Ling Hao is sixteen years old and participates in the annual "Pulse Awakening Ceremony" according to village tradition. The ceremony was presided over by an outer disciple from the nearby small sect "Qinglan Sect", using a crude artifact called "Origin Stone". Most of the young people in the village can only make the Origin Stone emit a weak light, which means that they may stay at the beginning of the Awakening Pulse Realm throughout their lives. When it was Ling Hao's turn, the source stone showed no response. Everyone was in an uproar, thinking that he was a useless person with "blocked source veins" and was ridiculed. Even the sect disciple who presided over the ceremony shook his head and left, cutting off his hope of entering the sect. Turning point: Ling Hao was unwilling to accept his fate and entered the depths of the "Black Stone Mine" that was listed as a forbidden area behind the village late at night. Legend has it that "black crystals" containing strange energy are sometimes produced there. He wanted to fight for a chance of survival. In the deepest part of the mine, he accidentally touched an ancient and dilapidated ruins, in the center of which hung a dull, cracked black ring.
