Charon Period

In 2030 AD, the "Charon virus" tore apart human civilization. It is as precise as the Stygian ferryman - the aerosol spreads throughout the city in an instant, and the infected person's immunity collapses and nerves deteriorate within 48 hours, turning into a "zombie" biting the living body; the lurker spreads the virus quietly like HIV, turning the quarantine area into a dead city. Eight years later, on the Ark ship, virologist Chen Xing and his senior brother Zhang Kai were on the verge of despair in the last refuge of mankind: Charon virus continued to mutate, mimicking pollen, deep-sea spores and even pet hair, making the alarm system useless. In order to break the situation, they risked their lives to launch the "Ascidin Nano Project" - using ancient cyanobacteria under the Antarctic ice to extract inhibitors and carrying nanocarriers to penetrate the core of the virus.
