Taoist: Treasure of Peace

"Taoist Taiping Treasure" tells a story of guardianship hidden under the torrent of history. The protagonist Chu Youcai was born in 1964 in a rural area near Mawangdui, Changsha, Hunan. He was originally an ordinary boy. By chance, he noticed an inconspicuous piece of "rotten wood" shaped like charcoal at the Mawangdui Han Tomb archaeological site. This piece of "rotten wood" is actually an extraterrestrial meteorite that traveled through time and space. It chose Chu Youcai and gave him a heavy and extraordinary mission - to become a "Taoist" who maintains the survival of civilization and the balance of history. The so-called "big road" is not a mysterious way of heaven, but an inner order that allows civilization to continue and human nature to be preserved from annihilation. Chu Youcai was therefore forced to embark on a lonely road that traveled through time and space and protected the road at key nodes. As the beginning of the series, "Taiping Treasures" focuses on Chu Youcai's first clear mission: to intervene in the extremely turbulent and complex Taiping Rebellion period in China's modern history. In the mid-19th century, when the Qing court declined and people's livelihoods were in hardship, Hong Xiuquan launched a peasant movement pursuing the ideal of equality under the banner of "worshiping God." At first, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom carried the people's desire for "uniformity everywhere, and no one was not fed and warm", and its momentum was like a prairie fire. However, the ideal quickly degenerated into a whirlpool of power struggles and internal strife. Chu Youcai must amidst this historical undercurrent, protect civilization from overturning and move forward arduously.
