Forest: A Bond Across Borders

In 1939, war swept across the East. Zhao Zhe, a fisherman from the Dragon Kingdom, was driven by poverty to venture out to sea. Joining him was a taciturn mute from his village. Neither of them expected a sudden storm to wreck their boat, leaving the two of them to drift by sheer luck to a vast, uncharted island. The island was impossibly large and its environment treacherous. More terrifying still, it seemed to be inhabited by bizarre, highly aggressive, inhuman monsters. Driven by the instinct to survive, the two men, from different countries and vastly different walks of life, must put aside their suspicions and differences to face the unknown dangers together. They soon discover that the island's secrets are far more horrifying than its visible threats, and appear to be inextricably linked to certain clandestine experiments conducted by the Japanese army. The struggle to survive is also a journey to uncover the terrifying truth.
