Together with her advisor, she unearthed the tomb of Emperor Zhangwu, hailed as an unparalleled emperor throughout history. History had judged him a divisive figure, even denouncing him as a tyrant, but Huo Jin'an admired him. Emperor Zhangwu had ended an age of war. In a chaotic era, harsh laws were necessary. He brought peace to the four borders and submission from all quarters. What was wrong with overwhelming every challenge through sheer force? While studying a mural, Huo Jin'an touched something and suddenly transmigrated to the era of the Great Zhao dynasty, where she met the young Emperor Zhangwu, already branded a “god of slaughter.” Naturally, she had to clear the emperor's name! But since she had transmigrated to a pivotal moment in history, when women were supposed to be allowed to study and take the imperial examinations, she had more to do than simply clear his name. She had to raise the banner for women in the imperial exams once more! She would rise through the ranks and wield power over the court! She would be the foremost treacherous minister to survive three reigns, and the beloved of the mighty Emperor Zhangwu!
