Rebuilding the Underworld: From Fishing Hobbyist to Big Shot

Xi Yue, an avid angler, was struck by lightning and sent to the underworld. The shock even robbed her of her sense of pain.

She thought this was the start of a life as the chosen one.

Instead, she spent a thousand years fishing in the River of Forgetfulness without catching a single fish, then got swept into the river by a downpour.

Thunder roared again, the river burst its banks, and all twelve streets of the underworld were destroyed.

Flowers of the Other Shore bloomed in the river. Holding her fishing rod among the flowers, Xi Yue met the Ghost Emperor.

The Ghost Emperor was tempting! No, the offer was too tempting!

"The twelve streets are destroyed. Go rebuild them."

"No."

"If you succeed, I'll teach you the supreme art of fishing."

"If you fail, you'll be thrown into the Infernal Prison."

Xi Yue fell silent for a moment, then accepted the offer in a single second.

She had no interest in dreams of promotion, wealth, or heroism.

But tell an angler about the "supreme art of fishing," and there's no way she'll turn it down!
