Honghuang: I Become Tongtian's Disciple, and Yuanshi Overhears My Thoughts

Synopsis: An ordinary modern man falls asleep and transmigrates to the Primordial World, where he becomes Daoist Duobao. At this time, the Three Pure Ones have yet to become Sages, and the Wu and Yao have yet to establish their tribes. Remembering the tragedy of the future Calamity of Investiture of the Gods, Duobao doesn't want to bear the name of a traitor. All he wants is to find somewhere to lie low until the end of time. But fate works in mysterious ways. After he becomes a disciple of Tongtian, things take a decidedly strange turn. His uncle-master Yuanshi, who has always looked down on the Jie Sect, teaches him everything he knows. His uncle-master Taiqing, who always plays favorites, wants him to take charge of the Ren Sect. And at home, his jealous master Tongtian wants to wash his hands of everything. I am Yuqing Yuanshi, one of the Pangu Three Pure Ones. While traveling with my third brother, we happened upon a nameless mountain and encountered Duobao, a spiritual treasure who had taken human form. Naturally, I looked down on this young junior at first. But everything changed when I could hear his thoughts. Sages are immortal and indestructible, but must entrust themselves to the Heavenly Dao and surrender their freedom? In that case, I would rather not become a Sage! The Wu Clan wants to steal the fortune of the Pangu Orthodox Lineage? No problem. We're all descendants of Father God, so we'll beat them until they submit! The bond between the Three Pure Ones is broken, and they've even turned on one another? The three teachings are one family. Anyone who undermines the bond between the Three Pure Ones must die! The East is defeated, and the West flourishes? As the Primordial World’s Yuanshi Tianzun, I shall suppress every enemy under heaven! Tongtian: Second Brother, Duobao is my disciple! Yuanshi: Third Brother, your disciple is really something. How about we make a deal? Laozi: Stop arguing. Duobao has been managing the Ren Sect on my behalf for years. Why don't we... Yuanshi and Tongtian, in unison: Get lost! Years later, when countless junior brothers and sisters from the three teachings surround him outside his sanctuary, even looking at him with suspicion, Duobao says helplessly, “I never wanted to lead all three teachings! Believe me!”
