Life in the Alley

Wang Yishu, a young man from a poor family in western Hunan, made his way out of the mountains through hard work, fell in love with Wen Mei at the Mining College, and later took root in the mining area. He grew up from a grassroots technician to a senior executive of Ping An Mining Group. He fell to the bottom due to a mining accident. However, he explored the safety production system amidst the setbacks and returned to his job based on his strength. He also resigned as general manager to safeguard the interests of employees. He and Wen Mei went through many ups and downs such as being laid off and passing away relatives. After retirement, the two went to Beijing to reunite with their son.
