Ghost Venerable of the Soul Path

Dark cultivation | Soul Banner cultivation | Ruthless and decisive | Transcendent insight

“If the Heavenly Dao will not accept me, then I shall make my soul the Dao and my banner the heavens!”

In a mass grave where the wrongfully dead were buried, a remnant soul awoke among the corpses.

The youth tightened his grip on a battered Ten-Thousand-Soul Banner, its blood-red markings writhing like living things.

This banner could devour the souls of living beings, refine the baleful energies of the myriad heavens, and command ten thousand ghosts to roam the night!

From then on, he embarked on a path of ghostly Cultivation that the Heavenly Dao would never permit.

-Devour vengeful spirits: Refine the Golden Core of Xuantian's enemies, and stain the three thousand steps of the immortal sect with blood!

-Burn karmic fire: Face nine layers of tribulation lightning with the Soul Banner, and let the crimson lotus in his palm burn every foe beneath the heavens!

-Master reincarnation: Tear up the Book of Life and Death, seize the Six Paths Wheel, and fight alone through all ten halls of the underworld!

When the Soul Banner had devoured billions of living beings, a whisper from an ancient Ghost Emperor came from within:

“Slay the Heavenly Dao, restore reincarnation, and forge a ten-billion-soul banner. Do you dare?”

A crown of karmic fire atop his head, a sea of blood from the netherworld beneath his feet.

Behind him lay a domain of eternal night, where the Soul Banner fluttered. Before him hung the Heavenly Dao's chains of law.

He grinned and pointed the banner's tip at the vault of heaven:

“Today, let us see whether your heavenly tribulation burns hotter, or the ten thousand souls in my banner are fiercer!”
