The Blood Banner Sweeps the Eight Directions

The story begins with a power struggle within the Blood Banner Sect, unfolding into a vivid jianghu tale of tangled grudges and loyalties. Young Sect Leader Long Dafu inherits his father’s dying wish, only to be poisoned and have the sect set ablaze by the elder Jin Chaobai. After narrowly escaping, he receives help from Linghu Qi of Evergreen Mountain Manor, Ouyang Hong, the lord of Demon Lake, and others. His quest for revenge puts him through trials of betrayal and loyalty. His tangled relationship with Wen Xueyan and growing affection for Linghu Qi add further passion and heartache to the lives of the jianghu. When Long Dafu and his companions storm the Blood Banner Sect, he kills his enemy Jin Chaobai with his own hands, but loses the one he loves. Amid the corpses, he finally understands that “vengeance is easy to put aside, but the heart is hard to conquer.” Beneath the setting sun, he reflects alone on the path of the jianghu, revealing the fated cycles of grudges and the struggles of human nature.
