Chinese Showbiz: I’m a Secret Agent, and I Have to Act Alongside Zhang Ruonan

A blond man was pinned to the ground by Qi Shaojun. He looked both surprised and indignant.

"I never imagined... that Qi Shaojun, the huge star who's been all the rage lately, is secretly a high-ranking Chinese agent."

Qi Shaojun said nothing and struck the man on the back of the neck with a knife hand.

Just then, Zhang Ruonan called.

"Shaojun, hurry up! The award ceremony is about to start!"

"Don't worry, Ruonan. I'll be there soon."

"You keep saying that!"

Even as he sped along on his motorcycle, the calls from the actress kept coming. Qi Shaojun couldn't help but sigh.

Having a side job is exhausting.

"The winner of this year's Golden Dragon Award for Best Actor is... Qi Shaojun!"

Amid thunderous applause, Qi Shaojun walked onto the stage and accepted the trophy.

As he delivered the heartfelt acceptance speech his supportive wife had prepared for him at home, Qi Shaojun couldn't help grumbling to himself:

I'm a secret operations agent. Acting is just a side gig to cover my tracks. How did I somehow end up as a Best Actor?
