Frog Begging for Life

In the 29th year of Emperor Gaozong's reign in Shaoxing, Kang Qing, the warden of the Western Zhejiang Province, ordered a boy to catch frogs because the sound of frogs disturbed his sleep on summer nights. After falling into a dream, he saw thirteen vague figures begging for their lives. When he woke up, his wife reminded him that they were the thirteen frogs that had been caught. After the release, a mysterious old man came to visit and told that one of them was a frog king who had been practicing for 500 years and left an ancient book on the secrets of raising frogs. Three months later, the Frog King successfully transformed and presented Kang Qing with inner elixirs, cultivation books, and home protection arrays, and also recommended Baiyun Master for help. Since then, Kang Qing not only improved his physical condition greatly, but also improved his wisdom through studying classics. His family has also been blessed by many adventures.
