Against the Odds

[Third Prize, "The Theater of Life" Writing Contest] Shu Lan was once an actress, but now she's a full-time housewife. She has just finished a battle against cancer. She thought she had won, only to learn at her routine checkup six months later that the tumor may have returned. Her husband, an executive at a publicly listed company, is cold and indifferent, showing no concern. Her younger lover, a real estate agent, tends to her devotedly, while constantly hinting that she wants to become his wife. By eavesdropping on his subordinates, Shu Lan discovers that her husband intends to divorce her and is already moving assets around, even trying to set a trap for her. With troubles mounting both at home and from outside, how can Shu Lan turn the tables in this uphill battle?
