Late Tang Imperial Uncle: Imprisoned in the Sixteen Mansions from the Start

In the sixth year of the Qianfu era, the Great Tang was battered by storms.

Huang Chao was still in Lingnan, and Chang'an remained a city of song and dance.

But Li Qia knew that in just one year, Huang Chao would sweep across the Central Plains, breach Tong Pass, and send the emperor fleeing west in panic.

And the members of the Li Tang imperial clan who failed to escape Chang'an would be slaughtered to the last!

As fate would have it, Li Qia transmigrated into the body of Prince Huai, son of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang and uncle to the reigning emperor, Xizong.

A noble status? Worthless!

The seventeen-year-old Prince Huai was born dull-witted and renowned as an idiot. He had been confined to the Sixteen Residences, watched over by eunuchs and forbidden to take a single step outside without an imperial order.

Other people transmigrated into princes and started out surrounded by wealth and luxury.

The first thing Li Qia did after transmigrating into a prince was figure out how to break out of prison.

He wanted to escape, but couldn't get out.

He wanted to ask the court for help, but the court could barely save itself.

If that was the case, he could only fight for a way to survive with his own hands!

He recruited deathsworn, put his manor in order, cultivated ties with court officials, and raised loyal followers, gradually extending his reach beyond the Sixteen Residences.

Then Tong Pass fell, the emperor fled west, and Chang'an descended into chaos.

That day, the fool prince who had once been easy to deceive put on his armor and gripped his saber, standing before the manor's locked gates.

"You won't open up?"

"Then we'll fight our way out."

But Li Qia would soon discover that Huang Chao was only the beginning of this age of chaos.

Zhu Wen, Li Keyong, Li Maozhen, Wang Jian...

As the Great Tang's realm was torn to pieces by warlords, an imperial uncle of the Li Tang clan who had only wanted to survive finally gained an army and territory of his own, along with the right to contend for the empire.

If the Great Tang could no longer protect the Li family, then I would fight for the realm myself.
