Desire Dips Over the Capital

Lian Li's father was the driver for the top-tier Jin family conglomerate. The day her father died in the line of duty, rain poured down in sheets. Jin Yanting walked toward her, his deep, magnetic voice saying: “Come with me.” He kept her by his side and protected her for nine years. When Lian Li heard that Jin Yanting had nearly fallen out with his family over the woman he loved, she knew he had no feelings for her and chose to leave with dignity. Who could have guessed that, beneath the tender moonlight, they would spend the whole night together? At noon the next day, she opened her eyes to find Jin Shiyue, his younger brother, beside her. Lian Li offered sincerely, “You enjoyed last night too. How about we part on good terms?” “I didn't get enough. We're not parting.” The man wore a bath towel loosely around his waist. Droplets of water fell from his damp fringe, tracing over his collarbones before disappearing beneath the towel, his sensuality utterly effortless. He gave her a lazy smile. “Take responsibility for me, Lian Li.” Later, At a banquet, Lian Li felt unwell and left early. When Jin Yanting heard, he hurried out and knocked on the door of the lounge. Inside, Jin Shiyue wrapped an arm tightly around Lian Li's waist, pressing her firmly against the door. He lowered his head and kissed her fiercely, murmuring in a husky voice, “Tell him to get lost.” ** Jin Shiyue was famous for being a shameless troublemaker. Everyone thought he was just playing around to stave off boredom. Until one night in the capital, word spread through their social circle: Jin Shiyue had written Lian Li a love letter with his own hand. The young heirs of elite families all denied it: “Fake. Impossible. It has to be forged!” How could the influential second young master of the Jin family ever lower himself like that? The next day, a reporter asked him about it in an interview. The man smiled lazily and corrected them. “Two letters: one love letter, and one marriage proposal.”
