The Vicious Aunt and the Villainous Kid Go Viral After Joining a Variety Show

Lu Yin transmigrated into a melodramatic romance novel as… a cannon-fodder supporting female character.

The brainless CEO who flew into a rage at the drop of a hat for his unrequited love was her own brother. The deranged heroine, who loved her husband so much she turned a blind eye to his endless affairs and still refused to divorce him, was her crush’s older sister.

And she? She was the ancient Greek god of melodrama.

To get close to her crush, she raised his nephew as her own son. If she’d actually treated him like a son, that would have been one thing.

But in public, she was all, “Good boy, sweet nephew,” kissing and hugging him and lifting him high in the air. In private, she insisted that beating him was a sign of love, and when that wasn’t enough, she kicked him.

Just like that, the nephew, who was already showing signs of turning out badly, became thoroughly corrupted. When he grew up, the first person he killed was her.

After reading the script, Lu Yin said, “What’s that got to do with me?”

Everyone online initially thought Today, Where Are We Going? was just an ordinary variety show about kids. But when they took a closer look, they realized that at some point, it had become something else entirely.

Lu Yin and her nephew didn’t seem to be filming a show about kids. They seemed to be fighting for power in the palace.

At first:

Her nephew fried Lu Yin an egg for breakfast with enough salt to kill her. For the sake of the child’s health, Lu Yin made him spend the whole day digging in the fields, face to the earth and back to the sky.

Later:

When they went out, her nephew carefully picked out a child-sized bicycle for Lu Yin, claiming it would help his aunt admire the scenery along the way.

Lu Yin painstakingly picked out a wiggle car for her nephew, adding, “It has two more wheels than a car and runs entirely on foot power. You deserve it!”

Finally:

During the gift exchange, her nephew pulled a jump rope and a scale from an elegant gift box and bluntly said, “Auntie, you need to lose weight.”

Lu Yin slammed a copy of Five Years of College Entrance Exams and Three Years of Practice Questions onto the table and reminded him, “The college entrance exam is in 4,745 days. It’s time to start working hard.”
