Journey to the West: A Lowly Soldier from the Great Tang in the Eastern Land

Tang Xuanzang returns from his journey west.

The Tang Empire’s expansionist ambitions are stirring.

The Tang Empire: “Open up, fellow countrymen! We’ve come to help you exterminate demons!”

The nations along the way: “Cut the crap! If you’re here to exterminate demons, why are you bringing siege ladders?”

Gu Chang’an abandoned his family’s ancestral trade, became a foot soldier, slung a heavy bow over his shoulder, strapped on a butcher’s knife, and headed to the foot of Black Wind Mountain.

Slay demons, gain points, grow stronger.
